ProScot Golf Tours – More Than Just Golf!
Discover Scotland Beyond the Fairways
At ProScot Golf Tours, we specialise in curating unforgettable golf vacations across Scotland’s most prestigious courses. But a trip to Scotland isn’t just about golf—it’s about immersing yourself in the rich culture, history, and breathtaking landscapes that make this country truly special.
While it’s possible to enjoy a round of golf every day of your tour—including on arrival and departure days—many of our clients choose to enhance their experience with incredible non-golfing activities. Whether you want to explore historic castles, sip on world-class whisky, attend cultural events, or discover Scotland’s stunning landscapes, we can tailor your itinerary to include the very best Scotland has to offer.
Unmissable Non-Golfing Experiences in Scotland
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo
If you’re visiting Scotland in August, don’t miss the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo—one of the world’s most spectacular live performances. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, this event features military bands, cultural performances, and an unforgettable display of Scottish tradition. It’s an electrifying experience that showcases Scotland’s proud heritage.
Scotland’s Legendary Distilleries – Whisky Tours & Exclusive Tastings
A trip to Scotland wouldn’t be complete without a visit to a whisky distillery. At ProScot Golf Tours, we offer exclusive access to some of Scotland’s finest distilleries, from Speyside to Islay and the Highlands. Whether you prefer a standard whisky tour, a private tasting, or a luxurious dining experience paired with Scotland’s best drams, we can arrange the perfect whisky adventure for you.
Glamis Castle – A Royal Retreat
Step into Scotland’s regal past with a visit to Glamis Castle, the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, and the birthplace of HRH Princess Margaret. This stunning castle, with its rich history dating back to 1372, is one of Scotland’s most fascinating royal residences. Stroll through its magnificent gardens, explore its grand interiors, and learn about its connections to Scottish royalty and folklore.
The Historic Heart of Edinburgh & Stirling
Edinburgh and Stirling are two of Scotland’s most iconic cities, each offering a deep dive into the nation’s history.
- Edinburgh Castle: Perched on Castle Rock, this fortress dominates the city skyline and offers incredible views. Explore the Crown Jewels of Scotland, the Stone of Destiny, and the Royal Palace.
- The Royal Mile: Stroll through this historic stretch lined with medieval architecture, whisky shops, traditional pubs, and street performers.
- Stirling Castle & The Wallace Monument: A visit to Stirling Castle transports you back to Scotland’s golden age, while the nearby Wallace Monument honors William Wallace, the legendary hero of Braveheart fame.
St Andrews – More Than Just Golf
If you’re playing a round at the Old Course, why not take some time to explore the rich history of St Andrews?
- St Andrews Cathedral: The ruins of Scotland’s largest medieval cathedral offer stunning views from St Rule’s Tower.
- St Andrews West Sands Beach: Made famous by Chariots of Fire, this scenic beach is perfect for a relaxing walk or a refreshing dip.
- The R&A World Golf Museum: Discover the fascinating evolution of golf, with exhibits showcasing rare artifacts and legendary players.
Loch Ness & The Scottish Highlands
A journey through Scotland isn’t complete without a visit to the Scottish Highlands. Drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Glen Coe, take a boat trip on Loch Ness, and experience the magic of this legendary region. You might even catch a glimpse of Nessie!

What a perfect vacation with 5 beautiful days of golf. Nicola was great. She ensured we were in the Old Course balloting-system and that we were also checked in for the Old Course singles daily lottery. I was fortunate to secure two opportunities to play the Old Course. Nicola went out her way many times, including traveling back to pick me up from another course to ensure I made my Old Course check in time. She also meet up with me on the 18th tee to follow me in while taking pictures of a very memorable experience. ProScotGolf provides exceptional customer service and value. I will be planning my next trip soon.

Absolutely the best! Everyone at ProScot (John, Nicola, Patricia) were exceptionally professional, friendly, and helpful.
The tour they put together for us was incredible. Our accommodations in St Andrews we’re top notch. The golf courses were fabulous. Drivers were always on time!
They made sure we had everything we needed from snacks to drinks and were willing to be flexible in terms of schedule
They setup dinner reservations at amazing restaurants, and were able to provide advice on just about anything in the area.
