St Andrews Golf Vacation: Play at the Home of Golf with ProScot Golf Tours
A golf vacation to St Andrews is the ultimate pilgrimage for golfers. Known as the “Home of Golf,” St Andrews offers a truly unparalleled experience for players of all levels. From the iconic Old Course to the rich history of the town itself, a golf trip to St Andrews is a bucket-list item for many. In this blog, we’ll explore what makes St Andrews so special and why ProScot Golf Tours is your best choice for securing guaranteed tee times at this prestigious destination.
Why St Andrews?
The Old Course at St Andrews is steeped in over 600 years of history, making it one of the oldest golf courses in the world. It’s the birthplace of modern golf and home to some of the sport’s most famous moments. Did you know that the Old Course was once used as common grazing land for the town’s sheep? It’s incredible to think that this iconic course started out so humbly.
Playing at St Andrews means stepping into the shoes of golfing legends, from Jack Nicklaus to Tiger Woods. The course’s famous Swilcan Bridge and the challenging Hell Bunker are just two of the many iconic features that define this historic venue. But don’t worry – whether you’re a professional or an amateur, the Old Course offers an unforgettable experience for everyone.
Guaranteed Tee Times with ProScot Golf Tours
One of the biggest challenges for golfers hoping to play at St Andrews is securing a tee time at the Old Course. Demand is incredibly high, and many visitors are disappointed when they can’t get a spot. But that’s where ProScot Golf Tours can help. As an Authorised Provider of Guaranteed St Andrews Old Course Tee Times, we offer exclusive access to one of golf’s most sought-after experiences. You won’t have to rely on the ballot system or participate in the Singles Queue—a day-before-play registration ballot—we ensure you get the opportunity to play at this legendary course.
What to Expect on Your St Andrews Golf Vacation
Beyond the Old Course, St Andrews offers several other world-class courses, including the New Course, designed by the legendary Tom Morris, and the Castle Course, which offers stunning views over the North Sea. Your St Andrews golf vacation could also include rounds at Kingsbarns Golf Links, just a short drive from the town, known for its breathtaking coastal layout.
When you’re not on the course, St Andrews itself is a charming town, full of history and local attractions. Take a stroll through the cobbled streets, visit the ruins of St Andrews Cathedral, or enjoy a meal at one of the town’s traditional Scottish pubs. You’ll feel a deep connection to the sport’s roots and the history of the town itself.
A St Andrews golf vacation is more than just a trip – it’s a journey into the heart of golf’s history. What a perfect vacation with 5 beautiful days of golf. Nicola was great. She ensured we were in the Old Course balloting-system and that we were also checked in for the Old Course singles daily lottery. I was fortunate to secure two opportunities to play the Old Course. Nicola went out her way many times, including traveling back to pick me up from another course to ensure I made my Old Course check in time. She also meet up with me on the 18th tee to follow me in while taking pictures of a very memorable experience. ProScotGolf provides exceptional customer service and value. I will be planning my next trip soon.

Absolutely the best! Everyone at ProScot (John, Nicola, Patricia) were exceptionally professional, friendly, and helpful.
The tour they put together for us was incredible. Our accommodations in St Andrews we’re top notch. The golf courses were fabulous. Drivers were always on time!
They made sure we had everything we needed from snacks to drinks and were willing to be flexible in terms of schedule
They setup dinner reservations at amazing restaurants, and were able to provide advice on just about anything in the area.

ProScot organized and carried out a wonderful trip to St Andrews for my group. They provided everything we asked for and more. We stayed at The Saint, a small but very comfortable place with lovely food and a warm local Scottish atmosphere. All arrangements for golf were set up as we asked. Two of our group played the Old Course through the on site queue.
I am particularly grateful for the kind attention from Nicola Scott who facilitated our days. She was diligent in working with our friends looking to get onto the Old Course…she even made an extra round trip to Lundin Links at the last minute so one could make a last minute opportunity to play.
I highly recommend them for a quality golf trip to Scotland.
